Force select shipping method during checkout process

This feature ensures that customers must actively select a shipping method before completing their order.

Instead of having a pre-selected default, the system will require customers to choose one, reducing mistakes or confusion at checkout.

Configuration steps

1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → General Settings.
3. Look for the option: “Want to force customers to select a shipping method?”

4. Tick the checkbox to enable this feature, or uncheck it to disable.

   

5. Save changes.

Expected outcome

When enabled, WooCommerce will not pre-select any shipping method during checkout. Customers will see all available methods and must manually select one to continue. This makes the process clearer, avoids confusion, and ensures that shipping choices are intentional.
