Extra Fees Manager is a Shipify app that allows you to create different types of extra fees.
In The Article
Installation
- Either go to the Dotstore Extra Fees Manager App Store page directly, or click 'Apps' on the left of your Shopify store's dashboard and search for 'Extra Fees Manager'.
- Click the 'Install' button on the left-hand side of the app listing page.
- This will install the app and take you to the home screen.

When you first install or visit the app, you will be taken to its home screen. You can access this at any time by clicking the link in the Extra Fees Manager link on the left of your Shopify dashboard.
For convenience, we recommend pinning the link so that it remains visible at all times. You can also drag it to the top of the list of pinned apps.
Add new fee
This allows you to manage custom fees and additional charges for your store. Also, you can manage and monitor your custom fees.

Extra Fees Manager – Feature Guide
Create Fee
Add a custom fee that will be applied to customer orders. Use this feature to charge extra for specific services such as processing, packaging, or customization.
Fee Details
Provide the basic information for your fee so it’s easy to identify and manage within your store settings.
Fee Name
Example: Processing Fee, Gift Wrapping
Choose a clear, descriptive name that customers will recognize during checkout.

Fee Configuration
Could you define how your fee will be calculated and applied to the order?
Fee Type
Select how the fee amount will be determined.
Options:
- Fixed Amount – Charges a set fee per order.
- Percentage of Order Total – Calculates the fee as a percentage of the cart total.
Amount ($)
Example: 2.50
Enter the amount of the fee in dollars. This value will be added to the cart based on the selected fee type.
Is Fee Taxable?
Enable this option if the fee should be included in your tax calculations. When activated, the system will apply taxes according to your store’s tax settings.

Applies To
Choose where this fee will be applied — to the entire cart or to specific products.
Cart Specific
If enabled, the fee applies to the total cart.
You can also specify product-based fees if needed for specific collections or items.

Additional Information
Add optional details to explain the purpose of the fee to your customers.
Description (Optional)
Example: Gift wrapping with ribbon and a personalized card
Write a short description that helps customers understand what this fee covers.
This description will appear in the cart and checkout for transparency.

Fee Image (Optional)
Upload an image representing the fee (e.g., a wrapped gift box for a gift wrap fee).
This image will be displayed beside the fee during checkout.
No image selected → Click “Upload” to add an image.

Schedule Activation
Automate when the fee is active.
Enable Scheduled Activation
When enabled, the fee will automatically activate or deactivate based on the dates you set.
Ideal for limited-time fees such as Holiday Packaging Fees or Weekend Surcharges.

Conditional Fee Rules
Control when the fee should apply based on conditions such as cart total, location, or payment method.
Enable Conditional Rules
Turn this on to define advanced rules for applying the fee.
If disabled, the fee will always apply by default.
Example conditions:
- Apply only if the cart total exceeds $50
- Apply only for the Cash on Delivery payment method
- Apply for customers in specific regions
When rules are disabled, the fee will be applied to all orders without conditions.
