How to create a min/max rule based on the product's total sales
The plugin allows you to apply minimum and maximum quantity limits based on a product's total sales. For instance, if you set a rule that applies when total sales are greater than or equal to 4 units, the rule will activate once the product has sold more than 4 units, enforcing the min/max quantity limits.
Steps to Create Product's Total Sales-Specific Rules:
- Go to the "Manage Rules" page in the plugin settings and click the "Add New" button to create a new rule.
In the "Configuration" section, set the rule status (Active/Inactive) and assign a descriptive name to the rule, such as "Product Total Sales Specific Rule", to help you easily identify it later.
- In the "Advanced Rules > Conditions" section, select the "Total Sales" option and set a condition, such as "Total Sales greater than or equal to X" (where "X" is the number of units sold).
In the "Advanced Rules > Action" section, define the minimum and maximum quantity limits for the selected condition.
Save your changes to apply the rule.
Example Use Cases:
Exclusive Product Launch Control: For new products, you may want to limit how many units each customer can buy after the product hits a certain sales milestone. For instance, you can create a rule where, once a product sells more than 50 units, each customer can only purchase a maximum of 3 units to ensure availability for more buyers.
Inventory Control for Popular Items: To avoid stock depletion on popular products, you can set a maximum quantity limit of 1 unit per customer once total sales exceed 200 units. This prevents bulk purchasing after the product becomes highly demanded.
