How to Apply One Click Setup Presets
Fraud Prevention For WooCommerce can set your scoring rules in one step. One Click Setup applies a preset for rule weights, Risk Thresholds, and a few blocking options.
The four levels are Relaxed, Balanced, Strict, and Maximum. Balanced is marked Recommended. You can still edit any rule after you apply a preset.
For example, a new store picks Relaxed to catch obvious spam. A store that already sees card fraud can pick Strict or Maximum.

How to Apply a One Click Setup Preset
Step 1: Turn on Fraud Score Check
- Go to Fraud Prevention → General Settings.
- Turn on Fraud Score Check.
- Click Save Changes.
The wizard only shows on the Rules page when this is on.
Step 2: Open One Click Setup
Go to Fraud Prevention → Rules.
At the top of General Rules, click One Click Setup. The line under the button says Apply a pre-built configuration instantly.
Click How it works? if you want this summary: choose Relaxed, Balanced, Strict, or Maximum; the preview shows which rules and extra options will change; Apply writes those settings immediately; you can still edit any rule afterwards.
Step 3: Choose a preset and review the preview

Current Configuration Preview then shows:
- Rule Settings — how many rules will be enabled, and the weight range
- Risk Thresholds — Medium Risk and High Risk
- Blocking & Options — Automatic Blacklisting, automatically block high-risk IPs, Before Payment Checking, Enable Update Order Status, and Place order (ON or OFF)
- Estimated Protection Level — a percentage and label such as Balanced Protection
Step 4: Apply Setup
- Click Apply Setup. The button label becomes Apply Relaxed Setup, Apply Balanced Setup, Apply Strict Setup, or Apply Maximum Setup.
- The preset is written immediately. It updates matching rules and extras. It does not wipe your blacklist lists.
- Scroll the Rules page and change any single rule if you need to.
- Use Reset to custom only to clear the wizard selection. It does not undo a preset you already applied.
Example Use Cases
First-time setup
Turn on Fraud Score Check, open Rules, and apply Balanced. Then tweak one or two weights if needed.
Too many held orders
Apply Relaxed so only obvious spam and bots add much score.
Repeat high-risk IPs
Apply Strict or Maximum. Those presets turn on automatic high-risk IP blocking.
Conclusion

Confirm Fraud Score Check is on, then reload Rules. The wizard is a Pro feature.
