How to apply Basic and Advanced Hide Shipping Rules together
When you choose the ‘Advanced Rules’ option from the ‘Apply Extra Rule’ field, the Hide Shipping Method Plugin allows you to add basic as well as advanced hide shipping rules to your methods. While applying these rules store owners may want them to work in isolation or work collectively. That is why there are 2 conditions that work for these two scenarios-
1. AND
2. OR
To apply ‘AND’ logic between basic and advanced rules, you will have to select ‘AND’ as the value inside ‘Basic Hide Shipping Rules and Advanced Hide Shipping Rules with the condition of’ field. This is in the section ‘Apply Shipping Rules match between Basic Hide Shipping and Advanced Hide Shipping’. To apply ‘OR’ select it’ as the value in the field.
Here’s what these two conditions imply:
If you deploy ‘AND’ logic between basic and advanced rules for your method it will be enabled only if the conditions added in basic as well as advanced rules, both are met. Also, please note that ‘All Rule Match’ and ‘Any One Rule Match’ logics won’t get affected by the AND condition.
If you deploy ‘OR’ logic between basic and advanced rules for your method, it will work when any either set of conditions within the basic or advanced rules are met. Just like the previous case, ‘All Rule Match’ and ‘Any One Rule Match’ logics won’t get affected by the OR condition.
