How to Hide Default Size Chart Templates Using a Filter in WooCommerce
If you prefer working only with your own size charts (or want a cleaner dashboard), the Advanced Product Size Charts for WooCommerce plugin lets you hide or show default templates using a simple filter in the admin area.
Before the Filter Option Applies
When the filter is set to Show All Templates, you will see:
- Default (readymade) size chart templates
- Your custom size charts
- Your cloned templates
After the Filter Option Applies
When you select Hide Default Templates, the list will update and show only:
- Custom size charts you created
- Cloned templates
- Any modified templates saved as custom charts
The default templates will be hidden from the list view, making it easier to manage only the charts you actually use.
FAQa
1. Does hiding default size chart templates delete them?
No. The filter only hides default templates from the admin list. All default size charts remain available and unchanged.
2. Will hiding default templates affect products using them?
No. Products that already use a default size chart will continue to display it normally on the frontend.
3. Can I still clone a default size chart after hiding it?
Yes. Simply switch the filter back to Show All Templates, clone the template, and then apply the filter again if needed.
4. Does the filter hide only default templates or all templates?
The filter hides only the readymade (default) size chart templates. Custom and cloned templates will remain visible.
5. Will the filter setting remain active after page refresh?
Yes. The selected filter option stays active until you change it again.
6. Can different admin users see different filter views?
No. The filter affects the view for the current user session only. Each admin can choose their preferred view.
7. Why should I hide default size chart templates?
Hiding default templates helps keep the Size Charts list clean and focused, especially if you only use custom or cloned charts.
8. Will plugin updates reset the filter setting?
Plugin updates do not remove default templates. You can reapply the filter anytime after updating.
