Why Are My WooCommerce Blacklist Rules Not Blocking Orders?
If your Fraud Prevention blacklist rules are configured but customers can still place orders, first check the Blocking Trigger Stage setting.
This setting determines when the plugin validates customer details and blocks suspicious orders.
Enable blocking when the order is placed
Follow these steps:
- Go to Dotstore > Fraud Prevention.
- Navigate to Blacklist Settings.
- Locate Blocking Trigger Stage.
- Enable the Place Order checkbox.
- Click Save Changes.
The plugin will now validate the configured blacklist rules when the customer clicks the WooCommerce Place Order button.
Rules affected by this setting
The Place Order trigger may be required for blacklist checks such as:
- Blocked first names
- Blocked last names
- Blocked email addresses
- Blocked phone numbers
- Blocked billing addresses
- Other customer checkout details
Still not working?
Check the following:
- The blacklist rule is enabled.
- The blocked value exactly matches the checkout information.
- The settings were saved successfully.
- Your website and checkout cache have been cleared.
- Another checkout or security plugin is not causing a conflict.
The most common reason is that the blacklist value was added, but the Place Order option under the Blocking Trigger Stage was not selected.
