How to flag suspiciously high-value orders for review
High-value orders often attract fraud attempts. By setting up rules to flag orders above a certain value, you can protect your store from potential losses while still allowing genuine customers to check out.
This use case allows WooCommerce store owners to automatically flag orders above a set price threshold (e.g., $1,000). (Plugin feature: Cart Value Thresholds)
Instead of rejecting them, these orders are put on hold for manual review.
Key benefit: Protects your business from chargebacks and fraud without losing legitimate big-ticket sales.

- Different thresholds per user role: Example, set $500 for guest users, $2000 for logged-in members.
- Combine with product categories: Flag high-value orders only for electronics or jewelry categories.
- Combine with location rules: Apply stricter thresholds for international orders.
Business Benefits
- Prevents fraudulent big-ticket transactions from being auto-processed.
- Reduces chargeback risks on expensive items.
- Builds trust with payment processors by showing you have proactive fraud checks.
- Still allows genuine high-value customers to purchase, without hard blocking them.
Expected Outcome
- Orders below the threshold: Processed normally.
- Orders above the threshold: Automatically flagged, moved to On Hold for Review, and the admin is notified.
- Store admin reviews the flagged order before confirming shipment.
